Do you have a nice outdoor area that is hard to enjoy because of the summer heat?
Summers in Central Texas can be brutal. At Mist Cooling Systems, we have the solution.

Our outdoor cooling systems start with a high pressure pump which generates 1000 psi. We generally position the pump unit away from the desired area to keep any noise away from your patio, kitchen or outdoor living area. We then feed a line to the fan or mistline section of nozzles to supply the water to the nozzles. High pressure water is forced through a very small nozzle orifice which creates a fine mist. Flash evaporation is the process by which smallwater particles evaporate quickly when exposed to high air temperatures, effectively lowering the outside temperature by as much as 10 degrees. Add a fan to the system and you can expect as much as a 15 degrees cooling effect.

10-15 degrees may not sound significant, but when the temperature is 100 and our mist cooling system lowers it to 80-90, the result is amazing.

We offer many different types of systems to choose from. Our options include stainless steel and copper mistlines to the new super high pressure nylon mistline, a high tech solution to bulky, invasive alternatives. We also specialize in fan-based mist systems which have a 6 nozzle mist ring attached to the front of a powerful oscillating fan. These commercial mist systems achieve maximum cooling without residual moisture. Call MCS, Mist Cooling Systems, for your free design and estimate.

Questions & Answers

What makes MCS Austin the best company for me?
At Misting Cooling Systems, we are dedicated to delivering results. We care about your problem, and will put our experience and dedication to work for you. Our industry knowledge of misting systems makes us the ideal choice. We strive for a combination of quality, service, and affordability.

Is it necessary to use specially treated water?

No, we connect to a regular hose bib, which leads to a large built-in filter before the water enters the pump.  This preserves the life of the pump and prevents nozzles from getting clogged.

What are the results I can expect?

We will achieve maximum cooling with minimal residual moisture.  You can expect up to 20 degrees cooling differential.  This will allow you to enjoy your nice pool or patio area even on the hottest of summer days.

Is the misting cooling system easy to operate?

Yes, cooling systems can be activated manually by simply turning a switch, or can be designed with a remote control feature.  Simply turn on the system when you are hot and turn off the system when you are done.

How long does it take to install the misting cooling system?

After the design has been approved, our professional team will begin installation. Installation usually requires between 6-10 hours on an average sized home. Our goal is to install the system as aesthetically pleasing as possible. Most times, the systems are almost invisible.

How much maintenance is needed after the initial installation?

To prolong the life of the system and nozzles, winterization is always recommended.  An annual spring tune up is also recommended to clean the filter, flush the lines and check the nozzles. MCS provides both  of these services for a nominal charge.

What is the average cost of the misting cooling system?

Mistline systems can be installed between $1200-$1500. Fan-based systems start at $1500. Give us a call for a free estimate to fit your needs.
